I’ve had a jump in followers recently so I just wanted to say welcome to Eat, Sleep, Sniff! Feel free to get involved by asking me anything as I aim to answer what I can do on Fridays.
And to all my existing followers I thank you for your support :)

Tali has got into the habit of sleeping on one of our cushions that sits atop a bean bag and does so with her back to us. But she’s so lazy that she won’t even turn around to look at us and instead flops backwards to meet our gaze upside down. Ridiculously cute but oh so lazy.

Happy St George’s Day!

I’ve been working on a project for Cats Protection recently that required me to draw some random kitties and since the last couple of posts have been quite heavy on the promotional front (remember, I’ll be at Comica tomorrow so come say hi!), I thought it would be fun to upload what I’ve done so far. I do like the miffed looking cat on the bottom left!

Continuing my celebrations for the upcoming launch of Goodbye Kitty, my new mini comic, I’ve posted the first three pages to give you an idea of what it’s all about. The story was inspired by a letter from a young girl who had gone through some tough times and I guess you could say Goodbye Kitty is my personal response to her letter.
Goodbye Kitty is debuting at Comica Comiket this Saturday and then will be available from my shop next week. Do pick up a copy! Only 200 have been printed and they’re all numbered too. I’ve poured many hours into it and rather chuffed at its outcome so if you are going to Comica this Saturday, come and say hi and if not, stay tuned for an update to my shop.

Big news! This Saturday, 21st, I’ll be attending my first comic convention, London’s Comica Comiket, as an exhibitor and not just an excitable chap eager to buy the new releases from my favourite artists (though I’ll be doing that too). Along side the various postcards, button badges etc normally found in my shop, I’ll be debuting my brand new mini comic, Goodbye Kitty. It’s quite literally been years in the making and I’m really excited about its launch. But the comics don’t stop there, I’ll also be selling the Best of Eat, Sleep, Sniff volume 1, a collection of some of my favourite comics from the last year as well as a printed version of All Too Familiar, the serialised tale which has been running on my site for the last six weeks.
So that’s three comics plus all my previous merchandise and I’ll also be offering quick kitty commissions too. Just bring along a pic of your furry friend and if it’s not too busy, I’ll do you a quick colour commission for £5!
It would be great to meet everyone who can make it so please come along if you can. The atmosphere at the last Comiket was brilliant and there’s loads of incredibly talented comic artist attending so definitely worth the trip. The venue is Bishopsgate Institute, close to Liverpool Street station, London and admittance if free! For more info on getting there, visit the official site.
Hopefully see you Saturday!

Philippa Rice is no ordinary maker of comics but one that does so with quite a unique style. All her pieces are collages of found bits of paper and card which, quite literally, adds an extra dimension to the comics. As Philippa neared her 700th post, she invited other comic artists to submit a guest strip for her long-running My Cardboard Life series. Since cats and cardboard boxes go together like, well, cats and cardboard boxes, I sent in what you see above. There are a number of other guest comics and fan art on Philippa’s site so go check it out! http://mycardboardlife.com/

Here it is, the final part of All Too Familiar. Sad isn’t it? Without sounding too preachy, this kind of thing happens all the time and was one of the reason why I drew the comic in the first place. Working for a charity like Cats Protection means I’m exposed to these topics and makes me want to help the only way I can - by drawing comics! That and dropping hints about visiting the official CP site for more information about older cat rehoming…
I’m in the process of getting All Too Familiar printed so if you’d like a version you could hold in your hands (how retro!) complete with a sketch in the front page, more details will be coming next week.
All Too Familiar

It’s Easter! To celebrate, I made a silly little Gif of Tali being tormented by a decorated egg. Why? I could say it’s part of ongoing experiments with animation techniques but in reality, I made it just for a laugh… Happy Easter!

Could you resist the cute chirping of an excitable kitten? The penultimate episode of All Too Familiar is here showing that not people many can. Remember, all the previous parts can be found by clicking the links below.
All Too Familiar

Yesterday may have been April Fool’s day but today and for the rest of the year, it’s Tali Fool’s day. Any animal who attacks their own tail with such ferocity only to then frantically lick away the pain is a bit of a fool.

Skyrim may have come out a while ago now but since it’s such a huge game, I suspect it’s still being played. This week’s What If? cat is dedicated to the fantasy RPG and also involves myself and Tali in a game of who can look the most ridiculous. Unfortunately, I’m the winner…

Here’s the fourth part of my serialised comic, All Too Familiar, introducing the ‘food-bringers’. Will one of the cats be lucky? Find out soon but in the mean time, you can click here for more info about older cats.
All Too Familiar

My wife tends to wear jeans that are flared at the bottom and Tali thinks this is a perfect place to go exploring. It’s not, it’s a ridiculous place but then as we found out from her mug escapades, she’s not fussy…

Back in January, comic creator Dan Berry took part in the 24 hour comic marathon in Angouleme and produced the beautiful Cat Island, a story about a man, a woman, a baby and a cat. Being a big fan of his work, I naturally snapped up a copy of Cat Island when it became available to buy and enjoyed it so much, I drew some fan art for it. Out of context it may not make much sense but if you take a look at Dan’s comic, my fan art will be a bit more clear. Enjoy!
